I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC) in the Spring Hill area since 2013. 

For the past 18 years I have worked as a  middle school teacher in both public and private schools. It was during this time I chose to continue my education focusing on mental health counseling.

My therapeutic approach to counseling includes solution focused brief therapies, cognitive and behavioral interventions. I strive to create a comfortable environment so my clients can relax as they discover new insights and breakthroughs. Homework assignments are often given to clients.

I am also trained in EFT therapy(Emotional Freedom Technique)which is used in processing trauma. This therapy is particularly effective with clients recovering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety disorders, survivors of abuse, and victims of bullying.

As a licensed educator, my personal philosophy centers around being a life long learner through continuing education and proven research.  As a member of American Counseling Association and the Suncoast Mental Health Counselors Association, I attend professional development seminars and workshops to improve and revise my skills as a therapist.
